Belkis is best known for being the co-host of The Comic Book Novice radio show on the Long Island station, WGBB, and being the cover model for the Novastar  Studios 2009 Fantasy Illustration Calendar. After leaving the radio show, she concentrated on producing strategies for online marketing. She was also contributor on ComicNews.info where she wrote her column, “Why You Should Never….” It focused on how to promote comic books by avoiding commonly misunderstood tactics. The column appears once a month.

Belkis is the founder of Belkis Marketing, an independent social media management firm. She has worked with clients from all types of industry including fashion, pet products, automobiles, restaurants, medical, etc. The goal is to leverage social media for the betterment of a company.
