I read the book. I saw the movie. I read reviews online.
Alan Moore refused to staple his name to the film. Apparently, half the world had high expectations for this movie since TIMES called it one of the 100 greatest books of all time and Moore said his graphic novel is un-filmable. While I do agree with him, isn’t this true about almost every book? Ever notice that a lot of movies aren’t exactly the same as the book? This is because a film and a novel are two different forms of expression. If a writer wanted anything to be on film, they would have written a screenplay and not a book. However, I have to give credit to those who attempt to make a good novel into a good movie. Watchmen is a good novel and movie. Here is why. Continue reading
